Learning & Innovation Summit 2020

The arts are an important part of the STEAM movement. In this hands-on session, participants will learn what teachers have done to incorporate the arts into various content standards for using in a Makerspace. Demonstrating to attendees how incorporating VAPA content standards into lessons has so many benefits: they keep students engaged, expose them to diversity, help them think creatively and are a great equalizer when it comes to education. In this one-hour session, participants will be able to walk away with several successful lessons and resources that have been used to teach content standards useful for Makerspace lessons.
